Description
It's called A Snail's Tale - that might lead you to believe that the snail is the main character, but nay, friend. The player takes control of Samson Spligglebarp, the noble descendant of a famed historian who is eager to make his own mark on the world. Samson travels to the Halite Kingdom to enter King Phillippe's challenge, competing against other adventurers for a chance to be a Halite Warrior. The King reveals that he is eternally pursued by an immortal snail who will never rest until he is destroyed. And so begins the quest of Samson and his intrepid companions, the Halite Warriors, to gather the three Crystals of Power and stop the snail before he catches the King.
History
In 2023, work begins on a new project, focused more on gameplay, a class system, and a side-view battle system. It is meant to be a side project after a long development cycle on a prior project... and as it always goes, the side project has evolved in scope and quality to the game you see today!
Features
- Breezy turn based gameplay that doesn't waste your time
- Class system with wacky classes such as: Codwalloper, Souschef, Scrounger, Rinkydink, and Oilist.
- Day/night system with an idle quest system. Send off party members to gather loot while you complete the campaign.
- Turn-based battles with some ZEST -- the Zest system allows you to supercharge a character temporarily once a bar is filled. You choose the perk!
- Minigames, word puzzles, a strange story, and terrible jokes, all delivered at a snail's pace.
